Whether you’re already a hiking and/or camping enthusiast or you want to learn how to get out there for the first time and see what it’s all about, this website is for you.
Camping, hiking, and outdoor activities are and should be for EVERYONE.
Hike More Camp More is inclusive of every race, gender identity, religion, sexuality, and more.
We are proudly women- and queer-owned and operated and strive to make this a safe space for everyone, inclusive of all identities and beliefs.
And we strongly believe that everyone should feel safe recreating in the outdoors. But, as queer people, non-binary people, and women, we also know from personal experience that recreating outdoors doesn’t always feel safe for everyone.
However, we don’t let that stop us, and we provide cautionary and safety tips on this website to help you feel safe, too!
The People Behind Hike More Camp More
We are Hillary (left) and Carrie (me, right). We’ve been married since February 2022 and we love to do nothing more than hike, camp, and get outside to experience nature.
We are based in Arkansas for the moment, so a lot of our hiking and camping trips take place in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and occasionally other bordering states like Tennessee and Louisiana. However, we love to travel and seek out great hikes wherever we go!
Hillary has several years of solo hiking and solo camping experience and I have several of years of hiking, camping, RVing, and campervan experience. Together, we have over 25 years of experience hiking, camping, and enjoying the great outdoors.
I (Carrie) am a writer by profession, so I do the majority of writing, publishing, and editing on this website. Hillary manages my creative ideas, our excellent photography, and input on the subjects of solo hiking and solo camping because she’s brave AF.
